Join Washington University Libraries on September 27 for the Dedication of the Douglas B. Dowd Modern Graphic History Library, a division of Special Collections. Made possible by an endowing gift from Ken and Nancy Kranzberg.
Douglas B. Dowd joined the faculty of Washington University in St. Louis in 1992. His work as an illustrator, critic and curator has helped to attract, shape and interpret distinguished collections in late 19th and 20th century American illustration. The day will include a morning open house in the collections, an afternoon symposium on American illustration and consumer culture, and an evening lecture by Professor Dowd.
